Driveshaft Reassembly

  1. Adjust the inboard joint so the rollers are in middle of the joint, bleed the excess air from the boot, then adjust the driveshaft length to the figure as shown. Doing this prevents a vacuum or too much air in the boot, preventing it from compressing or extending properly.
  1. Fit the boot ends onto the driveshaft and the inboard joint, then install the new low profile band or the new double loop band onto the boot.
  1. Repeat Step 9 for the band on the other end of the boot, then go to Step 11 .
