DTC Troubleshooting: P19EA (132-1)

DTC P19EA:
 Starter Signal Malfunction (from ECM by Signal Line)
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  1. With the shift lever in N position and the brake pedal pressed, check the STARTER ENABLE SIGNAL in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
Does it indicate ON?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire between the ECM (A41) and the TCM (A46).■
NO -
Go to Step 3 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  1. Disconnect the clutch actuator subharness 10P connector from the engine compartment wire harness.
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  1. Measure voltage between clutch actuator subharness 10P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Repair a short to power in the wire between the ECM (A41) and the TCM (A46).■
NO -
Go to Step 7 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  1. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  1. Disconnect ECM connector A (44P).
