Power Relay Test

Radiator fan relay, A/C condenser fan relay, Blower motor relay
  1. Disconnect the under-hood fuse/relay box connector E (20P).
  1. At the under-hood fuse/relay box side, do the following test.
    Radiator fan relay:
    • Connect power and ground between terminals No. 15 (+) and the No. 4 (−). There should be battery voltage between terminal No. 11 and body ground.
    • Disconnect power and ground from terminals No. 15 (+) and the No. 4 (−). There should be no voltage between terminal No. 11 and body ground.
    A/C condenser fan relay:
    • Connect power and ground between terminals No. 15 (+) and the No. 16 (−). There should be battery voltage between terminal No. 13 and body ground.
    • Disconnect power and ground from terminals No. 15 (+) and the No. 16 (−). There should be no voltage between terminal No. 13 and body ground.
    Blower motor relay:
    • Connect power and ground between terminals No. 6 (+) and the No. 1 (−). There should be battery voltage between terminal No. 3 and body ground.
    • Disconnect power and ground from terminals No. 6 (+) and the No. 1 (−). There should be no voltage between terminal No. 3 and body ground.
