Radiator and A/C Condenser Fan Low Speed Circuit Troubleshooting
  1. Connect the ECM connector A (49P) terminal No. 5 to body ground with a jumper wire.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
Do the A/C condenser and radiator fans run on low?
YES -
Check for loose wires or poor connections at ECM connector A (49P) terminal No. 5. If the connections are good, substitute a known-good ECM, L13Z1 engine, R18A2 engine, K20Z4 engine, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original ECM, L13Z1 engine, R18A2 engine, K20Z4 engine. ■
NO -
Go to Step 22 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
    NOTE: This step must be done to protect the engine control module (ECM) from damage.
  1. Disconnect ECM connector A (44P).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
