How to Troubleshoot the B-CAN System

  1. After 5 to 10 seconds, the DTCs which have been detected and stored individually by various B-CAN unit, will be indicates one by one on the multi-information display if the communication line between the driver's MICU and the gauge control module is OK. To scroll through the DTCs, press the select/reset button.
The unit that has stored the code can be identified by the number shown on the odometer display.

NOTE: Also you can check the B-CAN communication status by following methods:
  • The MICU self-diagnostic function Test Mode 1 and Test Mode 2 can check some communication status and some switch circuits.
  • The gauge control module self-diagnostic function can check the communication status.
