Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint or plastic. If brake fluid does contact the paint or plastic, wash it off immediately with water.
Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the audio or the navigation system (if equipped), then write down audio presets. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery first, then disconnect the positive cable. Remove the battery.
