DTC Troubleshooting: P19EA (132-1)

DTC P19EA:
 Starter Signal Malfunction (from ECM by Signal Line)
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. With the shift lever in N and the brake pedal pressed, check the STARTER ENABLE SIGNAL in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
Does it indicate ON?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire between the ECM (A41) (R18A2 engine model) or ECM (A43) (L13Z1 engine model) and the TCM (A10).■
NO -
Go to Step 3 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the clutch actuator subharness 10P connector from the engine compartment wire harness.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Measure the voltage between clutch actuator subharness 10P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Repair a short to power in the wire between the ECM (A41) (R18A2 engine model) or ECM (A43) (L13Z1 engine model) and the TCM (A10).■
NO -
Go to Step 7 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  1. Disconnect ECM connector A (44P) (R18A2 engine model) or ECM connector A (49P) (L13Z1 engine model).
