Cylinder Head Valve Seat Reconditioning
  1. Insert the intake and exhaust valves in the head, and measure valve stem installed height (A).

    Intake Valve Stem Installed Height

    Standard (New):
    46.1−46.5 mm (1.815−1.831 in.)
    Service Limit:
    46.8 mm (1.843 in.)


    Exhaust Valve Stem Installed Height

    Standard (New):
    46.2−46.6 mm (1.819−1.835 in.)
    Service Limit:
    46.9 mm (1.846 in.)

  1. If valve stem installed height is over the service limit, replace the valve and recheck. If it is still over the service limit, replace the cylinder head; the valve seat in the head is too deep.
