EPS DTC Troubleshooting: 51-01
DTC 51-01:
 Low/High voltage for Torque Sensor Limit VT1 and VT2 (Regular diagnosis)
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC).
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  1. Check the ADVT1-W in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
Is the voltage at 0.68−3.34 V?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Go to Step 6 .
  1. Check the ADVT2-W in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
Is the voltage at 0.80−3.52 V?
YES -
Check for loose wires or poor connections. If the connections are good, the system is OK at this time.■
NO -
Go to Step 6 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  1. Disconnect EPS control unit connector D (28P).
  1. Check for resistance between EPS control unit connector D (28P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10.
Is the resistance between 12−15 Ω (at normal)?
YES -
Go to Step 9 .
NO -
Go to Step 13 .
