Faulty Rear Seat Belt Reminder Light

Turn the ignition switch ON (II), unbuckle the rear seat belt.

Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.

Does the rear seat belt reminder light is unbuckle indicated?
|
-
Buckle the rear seat belt.
-
Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.
|
Does the rear seat belt reminder light is buckle indicated?
|
|
YES
|
-
|
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■
|
|
NO
|

|
|
-
Disconnect the floor wire harness connector from the rear seat belt buckle switch.
-
Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.
|
Does the rear seat belt reminder light is buckle indicated?
|
|
YES
|
-
|
Faulty rear seat belt buckle switch. Replace the rear seat belt buckle assembly.■
|
|
NO
|
-
|
Short to ground in the floor wire harness. Replace the floor wire harness.■
|
-
Disconnect the floor wire harness connector from the rear seat belt buckle switch.
-
Install a jumper wire between No. 1 [No. 2] terminal and No. 2 [No. 4] terminal of floor wirer harness connector.

Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.

Does the rear seat belt reminder light is unbuckle indicated?

Faulty rear seat belt buckle switch. Replace the rear seat belt buckle assembly.■

Remove a jumper wire from floor wire harness connector.
