DTC Troubleshooting: B1235 (J)
DTC B1235 or DTC indicator J:
 A Problem in the Air Mix Control Linkage, Door, or Motor
  1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and then ON (II).
  1. Do the self-diagnostic with the HDS or heater control unit.
  1. Check for DTCs.
Is DTC L and AUTO indicated?
YES -
Go to troubleshooting DTC L and AUTO.
NO -
Go to Step 5 .
  1. Check for DTCs.
Is DTC B1235 or J indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 6 .
NO -
Intermittent failure.■
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  1. Remove the air mix control motor.
  1. Check the air mix control linkage and door for smooth movement.
Is the linkage and door OK?
YES -
Replace the air mix control motor. ■
NO -
Repair the air mix control linkage and door.■
