Vacuum Pump Test

NOTE: DTCs may be detected while doing this test. After doing this test, clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  1. Remove the engine cover.
  1. Remove the cowl cover and the under-cowl panel.
  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) and connect the vacuum pump/gauge (B) to the hose.
  1. Start the engine and wait 1 minute. The vacuum should be above 93.3 kPa (700 mmHg, 27.6 in.Hg).
    • If the vacuum is OK, the test is complete.
    • If the vacuum is out of specification, replace the vacuum pump.
