Sunshade Frame Lower Cross-member Replacement
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
  • Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the dashboard.
  • Take care not to scratch the dashboard, body and other related parts.
  1. Remove the headliner.
  1. Remove the lower cross-member (A).
    -1.
    Remove the bolts (B).
    -2.
    Using a T30 TORX bit, remove the screws (C).
    -3.
    Using a T25 TORX bit, remove the screw (D), then remove the lower cross-member and the sleeve (E).
  1. Install the lower cross-member in the reverse order of removal, and apply medium strength type liquid thread lock to the screws C, D securing the lower cross-member and sunshade frame before reinstallation.
