Power Mirror Defogger Test

NOTE: Before testing, check for the No. 36 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
  1. Remove the door panel.
  1. Disconnect the power mirror 10P connector (A).
  1. Measure voltage between the 10P connector No. 5 terminal and body ground with the ignition switch and the rear window defogger/power mirror defogger switch ON. There should be battery voltage.
    • If there is no voltage, check for:
    • -
Faulty rear window, defogger/power mirror defogger switch.
      -
      Faulty power mirror defogger relay.
      -
      An open in the wire.
      -
      Poor ground (G503).
    • If there is battery voltage, go to Step 4 .
  1. Check for continuity between the 10P connector No. 1 terminal and body ground. There should be continuity.
    • If there is no continuity, check for:
    • -
An open in the BLK wire.
      -
      Poor ground (G501, G502).
    • If there is continuity, go to Step 5 .
