Dashboard Replacement

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
  • Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the dashboard.
  • Take care not to scratch the dashboard, body and other related parts.
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent.
  • LHD is shown; RHD is symmetrical.
  1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, and wait at least 3 minutes before beginnings work.
  1. Remove these items:
    • Instrument lower panel
    • Instrument panel
    • Instrument upper visor
    • Dashboard center upper lid
    • Rear center console
    • Driver's dashboard lower cover
    • Front center console
    • Passenger's dashboard undercover
    • Glove box
    • Passenger's vent
    • Front defogger vent trim
    • Side defogger vent trim, both sides
    • Front pillar trim, both sides:
    • -
      Without side curtain airbags
      -
      With side curtain airbags
    • Passenger's airbag
    • Navigation unit
    • Gauge control module (Speedo)
    • Gauge control module (Tach)
    • Audio unit
    • Audio-HVAC subdisplay, without navigation
    • Navigation display
    • Sunlight sensor
    • Steering column

  1. Detach the harness clips (A).
