Hood Opener Cable Replacement
NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to scratch the body and related parts.
  1. Remove these items:
    • Front emblem
    • Front inner fender, driver's side
    • Front fender trim, driver's side
    • Kick panel, driver's side
  1. Disconnect the hood opener cable (A) from the hood latch (B), and disconnect the hood opener cable from the hood release handle (C).
  1. LHD: Remove the air intake silencer (D).
  1. Using a clip remover, detach the clips, and remove the grommet (E) from the body, then remove the hood opener cable from the vehicle. Take care not to kink the cable.
  1. Install the cable in the reverse order of removal. Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
