Brake Master Cylinder Replacement

Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint; if brake fluid gets on the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
NOTE:The illustrations show LHD type. RHD type is similar.
  1. LHD type: Remove the air cleaner.
  1. RHD type: Remove the cowl cover.
  1. RHD type: Remove the under-cowl panel.
  1. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF, then disconnect the negative cable from the battery, and remove it from the engine compartment.
  1. Remove the reservoir cap and brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir with a syringe, then remove the bracket mounting bolt (A) and the clutch master cylinder reservoir tank (B).
  1. Remove the reservoir tank mounting bolt (C).
