Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) System Diagram
The DPF system consists of the intake shutter valve (ISV), exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors 1/2, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) differential pressure sensor, the intake shutter valve (ISV) control relay, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) and the ECM. The particulate matter (PM) is by this system.
The DPF system filter the particulate.
When the amount of PM reaches to a certain limit, the ECM changes the fuel burning to a mode that cleans the DPF (burns PM) while the vehicle is in a certain drive mode.
