The warm up catalytic converter converts toxic gas in the exhaust gas as hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide (NOx), and particulate matter (PM) (carbon (C)) to harmless carbon dioxide (CO

), nitrogen (N

), and water vapor (H

O).
Catalytic Converter (without DPF system)
Two types of the catalyst that are different in purification performance are combined; a type that is for both of the oxidation performance at low temperature and the NOx purification performance and another type that is mainly for the NOx purification performance.
