Transmission Shift Change Actuator (Select Actuator Motor)

Function

The select actuator is connected to the select lever of the manual transmission; and is composed of the motor section, gear section, and the shift rod. This replaces the cable operation of the select lever in conventional manual transmission.
By the control signals from the TCM, the motor operates; and by pushing the shift rod through the gear mechanism, the Transmission select lever is operated. At this point, the position sensor detects the position of the transmission select lever.
