No Passenger Presence Detection
Detect ‘‘No Passenger Presence'' when all the following status is occurred, and about 15 seconds elapses.
Passenger Presence Detection
When one of the following statuses is occurred after detection of ‘‘No Passenger Presence'', the gauge control module acknowledges passenger's presence.

The status change of the rear seat belt buckle switches (the difference of the status when the ignition switch OFF and ON (ll).

The driver's seat-back folding forward (driver's seat walk-in switch is ON) and the driver's door opened.

The front passenger's seat-back folding forward (front passenger's seat walk-in switch is ON) and the passenger's door opened.

While the vehicle is stopped with the ignition switch OFF, the status of the driver's (or passenger's) walk-in switch ON has been memorized even if the driver's (or passenger's) door is open and closed several times. In this situation, the rear seat belt reminder is indicated on the gauge control module when the ignition switch is turned ON (II).
NOTE: The status of the rear seat-back folding forward will clear when the vehicle speed is about over 4.4 mph (7 km/h).

While the vehicle is stopped with the ignition switch ON (II), and the driver's (or passenger's) walk-in switch is turned ON, the rear seat belt reminder is indicated on the gauge control module when the driver's (or passenger's) door is closed.
