i-SHIFT System Symptom Troubleshooting - Does not become S mode or can not cancel S mode

Does not become S-mode or can not cancel S-mode.
NOTE: Before beginning S-mode failure diagnosis, be sure to verify PGM-FI system DTCs.
Mode can not be changed when PGM-FI system DTCs P0102, P0103, P0107, P0108, P0112, P0113, P0117, P0118, P0135, P0325, P0335, P0339, P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0365, P0369, P0532, P0533, P1109, P1659, P2101, P2135, P2138, P2176, P2228, P2229, P2238, P2252, P2648, and P2649 is stored.
  1. Disconnect the S-mode switch 5P connector.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Measure the voltage between S-mode switch 5P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Go to Step 4 .
NO -
Go to Step 6 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
Is the S-mode switch OK?
YES -
Repair open in the wire between the S-mode switch and body ground (G601).■
NO -
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the clutch actuator subharness 10P connector from the engine compartment wire harness.

  1. Check for continuity between S-mode switch 5P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair short to body ground between the S-mode switch and body ground (G601).■
NO -
Go to Step 9 .

  1. Connect the clutch actuator subharness 10P connector terminal No. 9 and body ground with a jumper wire.

  1. Check for continuity between S-mode switch 5P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair open in the wire between the S-mode switch and clutch actuator subharness 10P connector.■
NO -
Remove the clutch actuator assembly, and check for change actuator subharness. If the wire harness is OK, update the TCM if it does not have the latest software or substitute a known-good TCM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good TCM, replace the original TCM.
