Instrument Panel Removal/Installation

NOTE:
  • Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
  • Do not pry the panel surface with any tools to prevent damage.
  • When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent.
  • LHD is shown; RHD is symmetrical.
  1. Remove the screws, and detach the clips along the edge of the instrument panel (A).

  1. Gently pull out the instrument panel (A) to disconnect the climate control unit connector (B) and the engine start switch connector (C).
  1. Disconnect the connectors (D), if equipped:
    • With headlight washer: Disconnect the VSA OFF switch and headlight washer switch connector.
    • Without headlight washer: Disconnect the VSA OFF switch connector.
    • With manual headlight adjuster: Disconnect the headlight adjuster switch connector.
    • With parking/back-up sensor system: Disconnect the parking/back-up sensor switch connector.
  1. Install the instrument panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Make sure all connectors are plugged in properly.
    • Push the clips into place securely.
