Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting - There is no sound from the right speaker when the USB device is connected
There is no sound from the right speaker when the USB device is connected
NOTE:
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Check the sound output in AM/FM and CD modes.
Is the sound normal?
YES -
Go to Step 3 .
NO -
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect USB adapter unit connector A (14P).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Measure the voltage between USB adapter unit connector A (14P) terminal No. 1 and No. 2 to body ground individually.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Go to Step 7 .
NO -
Repair open in the wire(s) between USB adapter unit and audio unit.■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Reconnect USB adapter unit connector A (14P).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Measure the voltage between USB adapter unit connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground.
Is there than 0.1 V?
YES -
Go to Step 11 .
NO -
Repair open in the wire(s) between USB adapter unit and the audio unit.■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect USB adapter unit connector A (14P) and audio unit connector C (14P).
  1. Check for continuity between terminals of USB adapter unit connector A (14P) and body ground according to the table. Then check for continuity between the same terminals listed in the table and USB adapter unit connector A (14P) terminal No. 4 (The harness shield).

Is there continuity?
YES -
There is a short in the wire(s) between USB adapter unit and audio unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.■
NO -
Go to Step 14 .
  1. Check for continuity between USB adapter unit connector A (14P) and audio unit connector C (14P) according to the table.

YES -
NO -
