EPS indicator is not on, no DTCs are stored, but there is no power assist or power assist down
Diagnostic procedure
  1. Check the motor power wires between the EPS control unit and the motor for a short to ground. Repair as needed.
  2. If the motor power wires are OK, replace the motor (short in the motor).
  3. Check the power and ground connections at the EPS control unit.
