DTC Troubleshooting: P19EF (151-22)

DTC P19EF:

Shift Actuator Motor Position Sensor Ground Line Open

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P19EF indicated?

YES	-	Go to Step 6 .
NO	-	Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

Disconnect the shift actuator motor 6P connector.

Disconnect the change actuator subharness B 8P connector (R18A2 engine model) or TCM connector B (40P) (L13Z1 engine model).

Check for continuity between change actuator subharness B 8P connector terminal No. 4 (R18A2 engine model) or TCM connector B1 (L13Z1 engine model) and shift actuator motor 6P connector terminal No. 2.

Is there continuity?

YES	-	R18A2 engine model: remove the clutch actuator assembly, and check for change actuator subharness A. If the wire harness is OK, replace the transmission shift change actuator. L13Z1 engine model: replace the transmission shift change actuator. ■
NO	-	Repair an open in the wire of change actuator subharness B (R18A2 engine model) or change actuator subharness A (L13Z1 engine model).■
