Remove the air cleaner housing.

Disconnect the back-up light switch connector and reverse lockout solenoid connector.

Carefully remove the shift cable, select cable, and cable bracket together so as not to bend the cables.

Remove the bolts (A) and reverse lockout solenoid (B).

Remove the roller (A), the select lock return spring (B), and the select lock cam (C).

Install the components of the reverse lockout solenoid in the reverse of removal.

Clean any the dirt and oil from the reverse lockout solenoid sealing surface.

Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08C70-X0331S) evenly to the change lever assembly mating surface of the reverse lockout solenoid.

NOTE: Do not install components if too much time has passed after applying the liquid gasket. Instead, remove the old residue and reapply the liquid gasket.

Install the reverse lockout solenoid (A).

Carefully install the cable bracket, select cable, and shift cable.

Connect the reverse lockout solenoid connector and the back-up light switch connector.

Install the air cleaner housing.
