Brake Booster Replacement
RHD Type
NOTE:
LHD type.
Remove the master cylinder.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A).
Remove the engine wire harness bracket (A).
Remove the brake lines (A) from the clamp (B) of the driver side.
Remove the vacuum hose bracket (A).
Remove the lock pin (A) and the joint pin (B), then loosen the nut (C), and disconnect the yoke (D) from the brake pedal.
Remove the brake booster mounting nuts (E).
Remove the yoke from brake booster rod (F).
Remove the intermediate shaft.
Remove the exhaust manifold.
Pull the brake booster (A) forward, then move to passenger's side.
Be careful not to damage the booster surfaces and threads of the booster stud bolts during reassembly.
Be careful not to bend or damage the brake lines or other components hoses and liens.
Move the brake booster (A) to downward with turning, then remove the brake booster from the vehicle.
Install the brake booster in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
Always use a new lock pin.
Install the master cylinder after installing the brake booster.
Check the brake pedal height and free play after installing the master cylinder, and adjust it if necessary.
Bleed the brake system.
