Faulty Rear Seat Belt Reminder Light
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), unbuckle the rear seat belt.
  1. Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.
Does the rear seat belt reminder light is unbuckle indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 3 .
NO -
Go to Step 7 .
  1. Buckle the rear seat belt.
  1. Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.
Does the rear seat belt reminder light is buckle indicated?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■
NO -
Go to Step 5 .
  1. Disconnect the floor wire harness connector from the rear seat belt buckle switch.
  1. Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.
Does the rear seat belt reminder light is buckle indicated?
YES -
Faulty rear seat belt buckle switch. Replace the rear seat belt buckle assembly.■
NO -
Short to ground in the floor wire harness. Replace the floor wire harness.■
  1. Disconnect the floor wire harness connector from the rear seat belt buckle switch.
  1. Install a jumper wire between No. 1 [No. 2] terminal and No. 2 [No. 4] terminal of floor wirer harness connector.
    [ ]: Rear left side seat belt buckle switch
  1. Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.
Does the rear seat belt reminder light is unbuckle indicated?
YES -
Faulty rear seat belt buckle switch. Replace the rear seat belt buckle assembly.■
NO -
Go to Step 10 .
  1. Remove a jumper wire from floor wire harness connector.
  1. Install a jumper wire between No. 2 terminal of floor wire harness connector and body ground.
  1. Check that the rear seat belt reminder light in multi-information display.
Does the rear seat belt reminder light is unbuckle indicated?
YES -
Open in the floor wire harness; replace the floor wire harness.■
NO -
Open in the BLK wire harness of floor wire harness or faulty body ground terminal (G602). If the body ground terminal is OK, replace the floor wire harness.■
