Front Center Console Removal/Installation
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
  • When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent.
  • Take care not to scratch the front seat, dashboard, and related parts.
  • Put on a pair of clean cotton gloves so as not to put any fingermarks on sueded surfaces of the panels during removal/Installation.
  1. Remove these items:
  1. Open the center pocket lid.
  1. i-SHIFT with R18A2 engine model: Gently pull out on the front edge of the console panel (A) to detach the clips. Pull the center console panel up and forward to release the tab (B) and disconnect the S-mode switch connector (C).
  1. Remove the cap (A) (RHD) and clips.
  1. Pull out the front center console (A) to detach the clips, and release the hook (B).
  1. Install the front center console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Push the clips and the hook into place securely.
