Brake Booster Replacement
RHD Type
Remove the master cylinder.
Remove the intermediate shaft.
Remove the turbocharger and exhaust manifold.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A).
Remove the engine wire harness bracket (A) and vacuum hose (B).
Remove the engine wire harness clamp (A) in the vicinity of the center.
Remove the engine wire harness clamps (A) of the passenger's side.
Remove the brake lines from the clamp (A) of the driver side.
Remove the brake lines from the clamp (A) under the brake booster.
Remove the lock pin (A) and the joint pin (B), then loosen the nut (C), and disconnect the yoke (D) from the brake pedal.
Remove the brake booster mounting nuts (E).
Remove the yoke from the brake booster rod (F).
Pull the brake booster (A) forward.
Be careful not to damage the booster surfaces and threads of the booster stud bolts during reassembly.
Be careful not to bend or damage the brake lines or other components hoses and liens.
Move the brake booster to downward with turning, and remove the engine compartment.
Install the brake booster in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
Always use a new lock pin.
Install the master cylinder after installing the brake booster.
Check the brake pedal height and free play after installing the master cylinder, and adjust it if necessary.
Bleed the brake system.
