DTC 67:
Brake Pedal Position Switch Stuck ON (Hardware)

Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
-
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
-
Test-drive the vehicle. Drive the vehicle at 10 km/h (7 mph) or more.
-
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose terminals between the brake pedal position switch 4P connector the ECM connector No. 2 (58P), and the VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector.
Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
-
Disconnect the brake pedal position switch 4P connector.
-
-
Short the SCS line with the HDS.
-
Disconnect the ECM connector No. 2 (58P).
-
Check for continuity between brake pedal position switch 4P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Repair short to body ground in the wire between the ECM and the brake pedal position switch.■
