DTC Troubleshooting: U0423 (184)
DTC U0423:
F-CAN Malfunction (Gauge control module)
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and
review the general troubleshooting information.
Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC U0423 indicated?
YES

Substitute a known-good gauge control module (tach),
then recheck.
If DTC U0423 is not indicated, replace the original gauge control module (tach).

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■
