DTC Troubleshooting: U0028 (126)
DTC U0028:
F-CAN Malfunction (BUS-OFF)
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and
review the general troubleshooting information.
Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC U0028 indicated?
YES
-
Update the ECM if it does not have the latest software,
or
substitute a known-good ECM,
then recheck.
If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good ECM, replace the original ECM.

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■
