DTC P2199:
IAT Sensor 1/2 Incorrect Voltage Correlation
NOTE:
-
Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
-
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-
Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 2,000 rpm (min
−1
) without load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
-
Test-drive under these conditions:
-
Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P2199 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
|
Does the screen indicate FAILED?
|
|
YES
|
-
|
|
|
NO
|
-
|
If the screen indicates PASSED, intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAF sensor/IAT sensor 1, the MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2 and the ECM, and check for poor connections or blockage in the intake air duct. If the screen indicates NOT COMPLETED, go to
Step 4
and recheck.
|
-
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
-
-
Allow the MAF sensor/IAT sensor 1 and the MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2 to cool below 25 °C (77 °F).
-
Note the ambient temperature.
-
Connect the MAF sensor/IAT sensor 1 to its 2P connector and the MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2 to its 2P connector, but do not install them into the intake air duct.
-
Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
-
Note the value of IAT SENSOR 1 and IAT SENSOR 2 quickly in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
-
Compare the value of IAT SENSOR 1 and the ambient temperature, and the value of IAT SENSOR 2 and the ambient temperature individually.
|
Does either sensor differ more than 35 °C (63 °F) from the ambient temperature?
|
|
YES
|
-
|
Replace the sensor that differed more than 35 °C (63 °F) from the ambient temperature, then go to
Step 14
.
|
|
NO

-
|
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or blockage in the intake air duct, then go to
Step 14
.
|
-
-
Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
-
Reset the ECM with the HDS.
-
Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 2,000 rpm (min
−1
) without load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
-
Test-drive under these conditions:
-
Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
|
YES
|
-
|
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAF sensor/IAT sensor 1, the MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2 and the ECM, then go to
Step 1
.

|
-
|
|
-
Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P2199 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
