DTC P1065:
Fuel Rail Pressure Lower Than Expected

Before attempting troubleshooting. Check whether DTC could have been caused by insufficient fuel level.

Check the ECT in the recorded freeze data.

Could fuel have frozen due to extremely low temperature?
|

YES
|
-
|
Check and repair the freezing point in the low pressure fuel line, then go to
Step 11
.

NO
|
-
|
|
-
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
-
Check for fuel leaks in the high pressure fuel line (at the injector, fuel pipe, etc.).
|
YES
|
-
|
Repair the fuel leak in the high pressure fuel line, then go to
Step 11
.

NO
|

|
|
-
Disconnect the low pressure fuel feed hose from the fuel supply pump, and receive fuel in a container.
-
Squeeze the fuel hand primer and operate it 30 times.
-
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-
Do the FUEL RAIL PRESSURE TEST in the INSPECTION MENU with the HDS.

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■

NO
|

|

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
-

Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
-
Reset the ECM with the HDS.
-
Start the engine.
-
Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.

YES
|

|
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the FRP sensor, the fuel supply pump assembly, and the ECM, then go to
Step 1
.

NO
|

|
Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.■
