DTC Troubleshooting: P1027 (172), P1028 (178), P1035 (183), P1060 (179), P1383 (173), P1405 (182)

DTC P1027:
 Turbocharger Boost Control Solenoid Circuit Overheat
DTC P1028:
 IMRC Solenoid Valve Circuit Overheat
DTC P1035:
 Fuel Heater Relay Circuit Overheat
DTC P1060:
 Fuel Rail Pressure Control Valve Circuit Overheat
DTC P1383:
 Glow Plug Control Module Circuit Overheat
DTC P1405:
 EGR Control Solenoid Valve Circuit Overheat
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and review the general troubleshooting information.
  1. Check the heat source around ECM.
Is there heat source around ECM?
YES -
Remove the heat source, then go to Step 2 .
NO -
Go to Step 2 .
  1. Make a temperature in the cabin sufficiently low.
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  1. Reset the ECM with the HDS.
  1. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTC P1027, P1028, P1035, P1060, P1383, and/or P1405 indicated?
YES -
Update the ECM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good ECM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good ECM, replace the original ECM.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■
