M/T Reverse Lockout Solenoid Disassembly/Reassembly
  1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the customer's radio station presets.
  1. Disconnect the negative (−) cable first, then the positive (+) cable from the battery. Remove the battery.
  1. Remove the battery base (A).
  1. Remove the battery base bracket (B).
  1. Transmission is supported from the bottom with a jack.
  1. Remove the transmission mount bolt (A) and nuts (B) and the ground cable bolt (C).
  1. Remove the stud bolts.
  1. Remove the transmission mount bracket (A).
  1. Disconnect the reverse lockout solenoid connector.
  1. Remove the bolts (A), reverse lockout solenoid assembly (B).
  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  1. Remove the dirt and oil from the sealing surface. Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08C70-K0234M) to the sealing surface.
    NOTE: Do not install components if too much time has passed after applying the liquid gasket (for P/N 08C70-K0234M), no more than 4 minutes, for all others, no more than 5 minutes). Instead, remove the old residue and reapply the liquid gasket.
