Clutch Hose Replacement

NOTE:
  • Replace the clutch hose if the hose is twisted, cracked, or if it leaks.
  • Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
  • Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint; if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately water.
  1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and navigation system, then write down the frequencies for the radio presets.
  1. Disconnect the negative (−) cable first, then the positive (+) cable from the battery. Remove the battery.
  1. Disconnect the clutch hose (A) from the clutch line (B), then remove and discard the clutch hose clip (C).

  1. Disconnect the clutch hose (A) from the clutch line (B). Remove the clutch hose clip (C).

  1. Install the clutch hose (A) on the clutch hose bracket (B) with the new clutch hose clip (C).
  1. Connect the clutch line (D) to the clutch hose.

  1. Connect the clutch hose (A) to the clutch damper bracket (B), then install the new clutch hose clip (C). Connect the clutch hose to the clutch line (D).
  1. Reconnect the battery cables; positive (+) cable first, then the negative (−) cable.
  1. Enter the anti-theft codes for the radio and navigation system, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
  1. Do the following checks:
    • Check the clutch hose and line joint for leaks, and tighten if necessary.
    • Check the clutch hose for interference and twisting.
