Clutch Damper Replacement

NOTE:
  • Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
  • Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint; if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
  1. Write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons. Disconnect the negative (−) cable first, then the positive (+) cable from the battery. Remove the battery.
  1. Disconnect the clutch hose (A) from the clutch line (B), then remove and discard the clutch hose clip (C).
  1. Disconnect the clutch line (D) from the clutch damper (E).

  1. Remove the clutch damper bracket mounting bolts.

  1. Disconnect the clutch line (A), then remove the clutch damper (B) from the clutch damper bracket (C).

  1. Install the clutch damper (A) to the clutch damper bracket (B), then connect the clutch line (C).

  1. Install the clutch damper bracket mounting bolts.

  1. Connect the clutch line (A) and clutch damper (B).
  1. Install the clutch hose (C) on the clutch damper bracket (D), then install the new clutch hose slip (E). Connect the clutch hose to the clutch line (F).
  1. Install the battery.
  1. Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
  1. Check the clutch operation and check for leaking fluid.
