Engine does not start (does not crank)
Diagnostic procedure
  1. Check for diesel engine management system DTCs.
  2. Check for loose battery terminals or connections.
  3. Test the battery for a low charge.
  4. Check the starter.
  5. Check the inhibitor relay.
  6. Do the engine start switch test.
  7. Check the ignition switch or wire.
Also check for
  • Poor ground at G403
