Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Replacement
Special Tools Required
  1. Remove the fuel fill cap.
  1. Raise the center console, and remove the parking brake lever (A).
  1. Remove the access panel (A) from the floor.
  1. Disconnect the fuel tank unit connector (B).
  1. Disconnect the quick-connect fittings (C) from the fuel tank unit.
  1. Using the special tool, loosen the fuel tank unit locknut (A).
  1. Remove the locknut (A) and the fuel tank unit assembly.
  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new base gasket (B) and new locknut, then check these items:
    • When installing the fuel gauge sending unit, make sure the connection is secure and the connector is firmly locked into place. Be careful not to bend or twist it excessively.
    • When installing the fuel tank unit assembly align, the mark on the fuel tank (C) and the fuel tank unit (D).
