Engine Oil Pan Installation
  1. Remove all of the old liquid gasket from the oil pan mating surfaces, bolts, and bolt holes.
  1. Clean, and dry the oil pan mating surfaces.
  1. Apply liquid gasket, P/N 08C70-K0234M or 08C70-K0334M, evenly to the engine block mating surface of the oil pan.
    NOTE: Do not install components if 5 minutes or more have passed after applying the liquid gasket. Instead, remove the old residue and reapply the liquid gasket.
  1. Install the oil pan.
  1. Tighten the bolts in two or three steps. In the final step, tighten all bolts, in sequence, to 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 8.7 lbf·ft). Wipe off the excess liquid gasket on the each side of crankshaft pulley and flywheel.
    NOTE:
    • Wait at least 30 minutes before filling the engine with oil.
    • Do not run the engine for at least 3 hours after installing the oil pan.
  1. Install the transmission mounting bolts.
  1. Install the dipstick tube (A) with new O-ring (B).
  1. Install the dipstick.
  1. Install the two bolts (A) securing the harness holder.
  1. Connect the oil level sensor connector (B), then install the oil level sensor cover (C).
  1. Install the lower torque rod bracket (A).
  1. Install the bracket stiffener (B), then tighten the mounting bolts in the numbered sequence shown.
  1. If the engine still in the vehicle, do the following steps.
  1. Loosen the upper torque rod mounting bolt (A).
  1. Install the lower torque rod, then tighten the new lower torque rod mounting bolts in the numbered sequence shown.
  1. Tighten the upper torque rod mounting bolt.
  1. Install the intercooler intake pipe (A) to the turbocharger outlet hose (B), then install the intercooler intake pipe bracket (C).
  1. Loosely tighten the intercooler intake pipe mounting bolts (D). Align the mark (E) on the intercooler intake pipe and the mark (F) on the turbocharger outlet hose, and side the turbocharger outlet hose over the intercooler intake pipe until the hose end contact the bulge (G).
  1. Tighten the intercooler intake pipe mounting bolts, and secure the turbocharger outlet hose with the band (H), then install the intercooler intake hose (I), and secure the hose with band (J).
  1. Install the engine undercover.
