Radiator Fan High Speed Circuit Troubleshooting

  1. Check the No. 15 (30 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse OK?
YES -
Go to Step 2 .
NO -
Replace the fuse, and recheck.■
  1. Disconnect under-hood fuse/relay box connector No. 3 (20P) and radiator fan motor 2P connector.
  1. Check for continuity between the under-hood fuse/relay box connector No. 3 terminal No. 11 and the radiator fan motor 2P connector terminal No. 2.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to Step 4 .
NO -
Repair open in the wire between the under-hood fuse/relay box connector No. 3 terminal No. 11 and the radiator fan motor 2P connector terminal No. 2.■

  1. Check for continuity between the radiator fan motor 2P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Check for open in the wire between the radiator fan motor 2P connecter terminal No. 1 and body ground. If the wire is OK, check for poor ground at G301.■
Is the radiator fan motor OK?
YES -
Replace the under-hood fuse/relay box.■
NO -
Replace the radiator fan motor.■
