Water Outlet Replacement
  1. Remove the upper radiator hose and water bypass hose, then remove the water outlet.
  1. Remove all of the old liquid gasket from the water outlet mating surfaces, bolts, and bolt holes.
  1. Clean, and dry the water outlet mating surfaces.
  1. Apply liquid gasket, P/N 08C70-K0234M or 08C70-K0334M, evenly to the engine block mating surface of the water outlet.
    NOTE: Do not install components if 5 minutes or more have passed after applying the liquid gasket. Instead, remove the old residue and reapply the liquid gasket.
  1. Install the water outlet in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Wait at least 30 minutes before filling the expansion tank with engine coolant.
    • Do not run the engine for at least 3 hours after installing the water outlet.
  1. Install the upper radiator hose and water bypass hose.
