Heater Outlet Cover Replacement
  1. Remove the sealing bolt (A) and washers (B).
  1. Remove the heater hose, then remove the heater outlet cover (C).
  1. Remove all of the old liquid gasket from the heater outlet cover mating surfaces, bolts, and bolt holes.
  1. Clean, and dry the heater outlet cover mating surfaces.
  1. Apply liquid gasket, P/N 08C70-K0234M or 08C70-K0334M, evenly to the cylinder head mating surface of the heater outlet cover.
    NOTE: Do not install components if 5 minutes or more have passed after applying the liquid gasket. Instead, remove the old residue and reapply the liquid gasket.
  1. Install the heater outlet cover in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Wait at least 30 minutes before filling the expansion tank with engine coolant.
    • Do not run the engine for at least 3 hours after installing the heater outlet cover.
  1. Tighten the sealing bolt with new washers.
