Engine does not start (does not crank)
Diagnostic procedure
  1. Check for i-SHIFT DTCs (with i-SHIFT).
  2. Check for PGM-FI DTCs.
  3. Check for loose battery terminals or connections.
  4. Test the battery for a low charge.
  5. Check the starter:
  6. Without i-SHIFT.
  7. With i-SHIFT.
  8. Check the inhibitor relay.
  9. Do the engine start switch test.
  10. Check the ignition switch or wire.
Also check for
  • Poor ground at G403
