Front Wheelhouse/Damper Housing Installation
  1. Clamp the new damper housing, front wheelhouse, front lower extension, and front bulkhead, and measure the front compartment diagonally.
  1. Check the body dimensions.
  1. Temporarily install the front subframe, and check the front side frame position.
  1. Temporarily install the hood, front fender, headlight, and front bumper, then check for differences in level and clearance. Make sure the body lines flow smoothly.
  1. Do the main welding.
    • Weld the damper housing (A), front wheelhouse (B), and front damper extension (C).
    • From the passenger's side, plug weld the holes in the dashboard lower (D) and damper housing.
  1. Weld the front damper extension (A), wheelhouse lower extension (B), and wheelhouse stiffener (C).
  1. Weld the wheelhouse lower extension (A) and side frame gusset (B).
  1. Weld the wheelhouse upper member (A).
