Sunshade Roll Blind Shoe and Cable Assembly Replacement

NOTE:
  • Take care not to scratch the sunshade frame.
  • A sunshade and an opposite one should be replaced with a new pair at the same time.
  • Even if old sunshade is to be reused, the blind shoes should be replaced with new ones.
  1. Remove these items:
  1. Using a T15 TORX bit, remove the screws securing the blind carrier (A), then remove the blind carrier from the sunshade frame (B).

  1. Remove the shoes.
    -1.
    Slide the push shoes (A) rearward to the notch (B) of the sunshade frame (C), then remove the shoes from the frame.
    -2.
    Slide the pull shoes (D) and cables (E) forward, then remove the shoes from the frame.

  1. Remove the inner cable (A) from the sunshade frame (B).

  1. Install the blind in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Damaged parts should be replaced.
    • Apply multipurpose grease to the guide rail portion of the frame (A) indicated by the arrows.
    • Before reinstalling the motor, make sure both link lifters are parallel, and in the fully closed position.
    • Before reinstalling the motor, slide both push shoes (B) rearward fully until the slider portions of the inner cable contact the blind carrier (C) on the guide rail to slide both push shoes.
    • Before attaching the blind carrier, rotate the blind shaft sixteen times to pre-load the blind.
    • Before reinstalling the motor, install the frame and glass, then check the opening drag.
