Rear Seat Disassembly/Reassembly

NOTE:
  • When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent.
  • Take care not to tear the seams or damage the seat covers.
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  1. Remove the screws (A, B). Release the hooks (C) and tabs (D), then remove the down arm outer cover (E).

  1. Remove the screw, then remove the upper cover cap (A).

  1. Right rear seat: Remove the screw. Release the hook (A), then remove the down arm inner cover (B).

  1. Left rear seat: Remove the inner cover (A).

    Release the Velcro fastener (B), then pull back the seat cushion cover (C).

    Remove the screw.

    Release the hooks (D) and tabs (E).
    -4.
    Release the hook (F) of the seat cushion frame.

  1. Remove the bolts (A) and nut (B), then separate the rear seat-back (C) and rear seat cushion (D).

  1. If necessary, remove the bushing (A) and pivot washer (B).
  1. Reassemble the seat-back and seat cushion in the reverse order of disassembly, and note these items:
    • Apply multipurpose grease to the moving portions of the recline adjusters.
    • Replace the wire tie you removed with a new one.
    • Make sure the seat lock cable is routed properly.
    • Make sure the seat lock cable is connected securely.
    • Check if the bushing and pivot washer is damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace it with new ones.
    • Push the tabs and hooks into place securely.
